Cons:
New requester. Since I qualified, I figured I'd take one for the team and complete this.
It is ABSURDLY underpaid.
It also features all of the things we hate most about surveys all rolled up in one---weird a/c's; scales that change order from page to page; redundancy; some pages are improperly formatted so you have to move a slider to see the whole scale; some typing required, too

Go to a classroom full of potentially infectious peoples/kids. Bring it home to grandma!

 

This whole sending my kid back to school is nail bitingly scary. California is spiking like crazy so that makes me nervous. We do have a virtual academy he could do for the entire school year from home but two classes he needs aren't offered in the virtual academy so...ack! The school is working hard to implement social distancing and my kid is one who will tell people to gtfo of his space and stay away if he feels the need but still....ack!

For now we are sending him as he needs the classes for college and it appears a bunch of kids will be doing the online work so there will be less kids on campus making it safer.

 

This is all prelim planning. I'm going to just come out and say I don't think any kids are going back to school. We haven't even peaked yet as a nation.

 

That is how I ready it also but regular schools don't do cyber school well (ours tried and failed) and the flipping would be annoying saying we would just enroll our son in a cyber school and be done with it

 

So far they are here. I think the school district is hoping a lot opt for the virtual academy to cut down on the amount of bodies on campus.

Since Kiddo is in high school it will be easier to control social distancing than it would be with the elementary grades (e.g., no recess and shared monkey bars, etc.)

If Kid could get the classes he needs online I might keep him home but at least two aren't offered (I didn't check them all to be honest, I checked those two and chatted with him about it and he wants those classes so he wants to go back).

Hoping the school might do some sort of schedule to keep some kids off campus...like an alternating day thing. Pain in the ass, sure, but we have to adapt.

 

You forgot that a good portion of our country does not care and thinks that we can not shutdown for any reason going forward.
