Ugh, today sucks.

 

So far around here it's not a HUGE issue with that. Many parents are working again (and it's summer, so kids wouldn't be in school). Daycares and whatnot have opened. But yeah, parents need a place to put young kids in order to work.

 

That's a good idea. I've also heard of having the teachers switch rooms vs. the kids. Way less crowded that way and way less risk for everyone. If they kids can remain socially distanced in the classrooms and it was only teachers in the halls during passing periods...It's different, and probably would take some re-imagining of how things are done for teachers, but I think it's doable with creativity.

 

You're in California right? Much different mindset out there than where I'm at.

The mindset of opening daycares is different? I'm not understanding. Our government put things in place so people could go back to work, and there has always been daycare for first responders and front line workers.

 

What I mean is half the people here think covid isn't even real, take no precautions etc etc.
