Doesn't look like anything much happened here today. I drove 3.5 hours to Alabama for one of my daughter's soccer tournament. Only to have it get severely rained out right when the championship brackets were starting. Crappy waste of a day

 

Hey Everyone!
Hope you're all doing better than I've been doing!
First I had what I think must have been some kind of miserable flu for two or three weeks.
Was not THE virus (boy that nasal swab is unpleasant!), but wasn't a picnic.
Then I had a few good days where I almost felt like my normal abnormal self.
But as soon as the powers that be opened a window, they closed the door!
Apparently after four psychotically delirious days of getting over-heated and dehydrated in
my oven/attic accommodations, my housemates sniffed out the various unpleasant results
of this and I wound up in the hospital fifteen pounds lighter and in a total kidney failure state.
But it all worked out okay! After a four day 'vacation' in a really nice room. it appears as if I've
completely recovered. I didn't mind giving up smoking and drinking for the duration so much,
but I was really ticked about the decaffeinated coffee, and that I couldn't even have a Coke.
Back in the days when I used to work at hospitals, I always had a sudden change of perspective
when a chopper would come to the helipad. It was this sudden thought of "Holy cow! I'm not
having nearly as bad a day as I thought I was having. In this spirit, I hope I'm not being
whiny or depressing, but encouraging everyone to feel better! I know I do!
