I'm 40. I still feel like I'm a 20 year old who has no idea what to do.

 

That's a shame, our state has some really good schools, but they seem to be overshadowed by the ones that don't give a damn. Is private school an option? I know locally our Catholic, Christian, and Islamic schools are going all out in terms of prevention in the classroom, though only the Catholic schools offer sports.

 

I live in Missouri.....basically unless you are in KC or St Louis Covid is a hoax......I live in a KC suburb and it's about 50/50 here on that so it's very hard to make any traction.

 

I don't (and never will) have kids, but I appreciate what the school system here is doing...the kids have a choice between remote learning and in-person learning. If they don't like one, they can change the type next term

That sounds great on the surface, but most kids are god awful at remote learning because they aren't self starters and the school is banking on parents not wanting their kids home...

Have you noticed the absurd amount of people who are mad their kids are home? Why did these people have children if they feel this way?

 

Everyone needs to be safe. That's the 100% priority. Over freedom at this point. We are facing the deadliest thing we have seen in our livetimes. It's REAL and should be taken seriously. SCREW work/schoo/whatever if it keeps you safe. Is that so hard?

 

Well, I can think of a few things...(1) They're mad they have to babysit, (2) They have to take off work to do the babysitting, (3) They don't trust their kids home alone by themselves, (4) They're awful parents who don't want to spend time with their kids
