They fixed that. They've revamped the 'Return to the Waking Sands' quests. You get a teleport ticket I think. Also they are adding flying into ARR.

 

Well they ARE fixing that. I think it's this coming patch that they are implementing this stuff

 

Nah, I meant the actual design of the game (in the beginner area, I dunno about the rest bc I didn't get that far) was just walking back and forth and doing quests in the same area. I think I got to like level 20 before I could extricate myself.

Yeah, through enough complaints they are fixing that. The entire set of starting quests and what not (like all of ARR) is being compressed and made more bearable.
