    Get out there and work!

    Or take a day off.

Or stress about whether you're gonna make your goal PE

Or be @AlexZ and subtly make snarky comments.

    Or just do batch work.

    Have a great Sunday!

Major Carter wrote a whole theory about negative and alternate spaces. Awesome first post for today's thread.

Still is. I'm on my second rewatch ep by ep, (I'm 37, had to watch weekly, if then) and so far, it holds up. A little outdated tech-wise, but there's very little politics besides good vs assholes and it's a nice escape from the news. It's simple sci-fi and Jack keeps the balance between getting too sciency, too mystical, too outlandish, and too *waves hands around*.

I was gonna be giving it a rewatch as soon as I finish through with the X-Files, so maybe by winter I'll get to it since it's been slow going lol.

I'm usually lurking about, I just don't have a whole lot to say most of the time. Been trying to turk more often after work but lately I've been too mentally exhausted to want to do much after I get off.

I'm on here most days. I'm a jackass sci-fi nerd. I never could get into X-Files though. "We've seen shit." "But we just don't KNOW! Could be UFOs? Could be street lights? Could be a government cover-up?"

X-Files was crap to titillate the Weekly World News people. It was okay for back before the internet and fact checking and before the FOIA and requesting unredacted FOIA classified documents.

My grandfather was a DOD liaison between Lockheed (before Lockheed-Martin) and the DOD. All I knew was he had to go away for a week and couldn't tell us where.

When I was in HS and called him about an idea to use a microwave to excite gases and spurt them out using anodes and cathodes like a plasma engine he got real fucking quiet and said he couldn't tell me anything but "Boy....you need to not say anything. I'm still classified. Good idea. But don't tell anyone."

Real X-files has nothing on HS kids coming up with ion drives that were under development at the time.

While SG-1 goes "Sam...you've had a Tok'ra symbiote in your head, you've gone through an alien device, You've had your brain downloaded into a computer, and robots made from you....could you maybe be under a *little* bit of stress hun? Take a nap."

I have lots of problems too. :emoji_disappointed::emoji_weary: Turking is kind of a stress-relief for me, curbs anxiety. Either this or reading all day and I've become disillusioned with that over the past few crazy years. You didn't get a car yet? What was wrong with the truck?

It was a 4L60E tranny. Did my research and the shift passage was so complicated that I messaged a few friends who'd done rebuilds (including one who owns an actual brick and mortar shop) and it was a $1400 rebuild bc it would take stripping it down and giving the case an acid bath to clear the passages.

Glad you dodged that bullet. Aren't you in Montana or somewhere up North? I guess there's not as good of a selection of used cars there as other places? I'm in Austin and there seems to be a car dealership on every corner but they're not cheap. San Antonio is more competitive strangely enough.
