Was upgrading my desktop with some new parts and then took a well-earned break as my hands took quite a beating, so didn't your post from yesterday until now.

Grew up in the suburbs, now live in DC proper. I just wanted to share some good news in the certifiably shit year that is 2020. DC ain't so bad if you stay away from the Congress critters. The only Congressperson I've had the "fortune" to interact with is my local one when I was working as one of the head poll workers earlier this year about a decision made by full-time elections staff, so that wasn't my call. I was too overworked (literally was doing 3 - 6 jobs at once all day) and tired at the time to do much more than nod and say "Uh-Huh". Why I agreed to work again in November is beyond me, though I say that after every election.
