i first got on mturk back in 2015, i dont remember having any difficulty getting my account running. has it been made substantially harder to get a worker account since then?

I made my account in 2010, and promptly forgot about it for a few years. So it was easy for me to get started.

 

LARGE bonuses game. Bonus possible $1.50 lol.

I've been turking since 2014, stopped turking the last month because I couldn't find any hits, came back and still couldn't but been working on this one batch, if I get mass rejections and it ruins my account, then i'll be done for good. Sucks.

 

You won't find good hits till you get like over 10k. Once I got to that point I was like oh, this isn't that bad. Next time you see A9s just grind the hell out of them. For a while I was doing like 1k a9s a day when they still posted regularly. I think half of my hits are probably still A9s.

 

Kinda hit/miss. Still too much fraud, but they do an okayish job of at least trying to balance the populations

You can see the requesters approval rating on their mturk profile page now (assuming they're not new)
