Welp. Out of surgery, minus one eyeball and a redistributed chunk of thigh muscle. I opted out of opiods, so no high, just good pain meds.

That's good to hear, I can't imagine how that must feel, I would guess it feels something like being hit in the face by a train.

 

What kind? Just anti-inflammatories? I never believed in the power of anti-inflammatories until I got some that actually worked when I used them after one surgery.

EDIT: By never believed in the power I mean just never felt them work well for me, lol. I was pre-med for a while I definitely believe in the "power" of anti-inflammatories

Probably a good idea for most people to avoid the opioids.
There was no doubt that I was going to do that when I cut my two fingers off,
but at some point it occurred to me that they were going to give me about
six hundred dollars worth of pills for one dollar out-of-pocket.
As a Lower-East-Side street kid, I couldn't say 'no' to that.
It also occurred to me that I'd never had opioids before, and would probably
never have the chance again, so I thought 'what the fluffernutter?'
I took my prescribed dose, and never felt a thing. A little later, I'd completely
forgotten about it and drank a beer. A little later that night, my housemate
found me in the driveway in the classic 'ostrich with its head in the sand'
position with my head and upper body buried in a 3 foot snowbank.
Don't try this at home, kids!
And yes, I got rid of the rest of them in an unprofitable but officially-sanctioned manner!

 

Perhaps one of the most bizarre things I see is when a requester doesn't make their survey link clickable, yet they take the time to color the font blue so it looks like it can be clicked? I don't understand lol

Some of the completion codes are the same way.
It's nice that they're trying to make them 'noticeable' for us by highlighting them in
bold colors, but if they don't work then it's a "The road to (someplace really hot) is
paved with good intentions" situation.
