I truly think that number isn't controlled by anything but them, and they lower it to make you want to write more and what not if they think your answers are too short. Completely a conspiracy theory, but, I basically ignore that number anyway. Both that, and the flags feel completely arbitrary.

 

I really think it's tied to length of writing. I've noticed it goes up if I give them more sentences overall. I dropped like 15 points one day that I was too tired to really type a ton. I then gained them all back the next day when I wrote a ton while I was bored. I laugh and ignore the number really.
