Haha at my peak I was doing 200+mg 3x/day. Morning was 300mg on wake, noonish was another 200mg, then 200mg @4-5pm to run through the rest of the day.

Last year my RHR was in the 52-58 range when I was strictly doing 100-200mg/day total. By I think around June when I was taking just way too much it was up to 65-67 range daily just totally fked. back down to low 60s again and if I'd actually get off my butt and participate more earnestly with the @Fit Friends folks it'd probably be much closer to old normal but @WillowWolf doesn't shame me enough so guess I'll just die 2 years earlier

Oh my bad I forgot to reply to this when I LOL'd it this morning. Honestly my post was mostly a joke dude you know I'm not turning down free anything lol.

I will say any protein powder w/ dextrin in it isn't edible in my book, but I also haven't hardly bothered w/ protein powder (and as such research in it) since college so my opinion is likely pretty outdated anyway. But that was always my immediate "nah I'm good" ingredient and it was on the list for that one I think. I'm also against artificial sweeteners despite whatever shadily funded study is out about them and am a psychotic moron who seriously consumed an entire bag of unflavored protein powder last time I bothered buying any. I think it was the MyProtein brand that had gotten decent reviews at the time. It was legitimately more disgusting than any of the fluids/mixes I had to consume during pledge season, highly do not recommend.

Still since supplements are so unregulated I stay away from mashup mixes as much as humanly possible. You know they're sourcing the cheapest junk they can throw in for anything that isn't the marque part of the mix.. and even then, idk, I feel like logically it's like going to a crack dealer who swears its "enhanced" crack. Nothing in the enhancement serum is going to be good and you already know you can't trust that particular drug dealer b/c they want to sell you that version of the product right off the bat.

YMMV. I'm sure there are great soylent green companies out there doing mixes right but I'm def not smart enough to parse them.

 

I can 100% do better at shaming you. You'll essentially owe me two years of your life though.
