Is it wrong to wish my mom would just disappear? I get so tired of dealing with her. Having a mentally ill parent is like a curse. Constant drama, exaggerating, attention seeking and to top it all off, she's a know-it-all, my-way-or-the-highway type person but is also a bit "slow." She has comprehension problems and always misconstrues what she reads or hears generally in the way of someone criticizing or judging her (paranoid and self-centered) and it's so hard to deal with. She's been like this since I can remember. Used to be much angrier and more confrontational. I feel terrible but sometimes I feel like she pushes me to my breaking point where I want to just choke her and scream, "You're stupid! Shut up! You shouldn't be allowed to speak on any topic! Be quiettttt!" Don't pay attention to her enough and it's "I'll probably be gone soon. Going down fast." She's always on the verge of dying. She has hernia problems and has had surgery on her abdomen twice but says she needs another. She gets really giddy about surgeries and medicine too. Has a whole kitchen full of medication. Goes to multiple doctors to get what she wants. That's a whole 'nother story though. Stubbed toe? Probably cancer. Charlie horse? Likely torn muscle, might lose your leg. Like, what the fuck are you talking about???? I try to have compassion because I know she had a bad childhood and that's where all these attention-seeking, care-about-me, anger and paranoia problems come from but I wish people like this wouldn't have children.

Just needed to get that off my chest.

No. I got you on this one. My mom lives 30 minutes away and does not speak to me or my kids really. She will randomly send one dumb message not related to anything to me like once every 8-9 months. She's literally not parent material and I'm not even sure I'd know how to act if something happened to her. Some people are indeed not meant for children. Don't feel bad for feeling things that make sense to you.
