Depends on the specifics of your situation. But yeah I've bought insurance thru HeathCare.gov for the past 3 years and it's saved me a lot of money. I'd be flat broke or heavily indebted trying to afford health coverage without it.

 

Do they also do dental and optical or is only general MD like regular insurance?

 

Only general health coverage. You can purchase additional coverage like optical on the same marketplace but it's not subsidized.
