The point is that it very quickly gets the hit information onto the forum so that people have a better chance of catching the hit. With the information, it can be put in whichever panda catcher someone is using.

Reviews are great, but no one is required, for any reason to do one; it's 100% optional and not a requirement.

In the case of the hit @keysman posted, it's super cool that he did that because it's such a high dollar one and a highly desirable hit for many. He did it as a courtesy. When reviews are posted to the forum, anyone using the information for panda purposes has to wait much longer to catch the information, and by that time, the hit may have dried up.

 

Not sure why someone would get salty about someone sharing a $50 hit with the rest of us so that we all can get in on the wealth.
