Got email from VF Lab-

Some feedback-
The time for this study will be a single session between 0.5-3 hours. People will find this confusing because they think it will take half-hour.. my suggestion is to use 0.05

But when I get deeper into the study, you ask for 5 minute to play the game..

We're sorry for this confusion, we meant to encapsulate the entire study (including the survey itself), so ~30 minutes for the game and the survey. It's a rough estimate because some people decide to play the game for longer.


Will I receive payment or other incentive?

You will be compensated via Amazon's Mechanical Turk platform for the amount stated for the task, which will be between $0.5-$20 USD. If you withdraw from the study after beginning, you will still receive full compensation.

Can you give some clarification on how one might go about getting the $20 bonus? It might be a good Christmas day bonus.. for other workers..

Unfortunately, I can see how this can be confusing too. However, when we say "the amount stated for the task", we really mean however much we stated in the HIT itself (which states 0.5 base pay with 4.5 bonus). The IRB wording is intentionally a range so that we have some flexibility for the compensation.
