Yeah don't order anything off Amazon anymore. I usually will find a few brands and just go to their actual store or a better distributor because Amazon will absolutely send you random bullshit with "close enough" labels. I'd probably risk it at Walmart before Russian Roulette'ing a shipment from Amazon haha.

For caffeine I've always done 2:1. So 200mg caffeine:100mg theanine but afaik it's "impossible" to take too much. In that equation caffeine is the unhealthy agent lol. I never got anxiety on caffeine, just a tad of jitters/that zippy brain feeling and theanine reduced that. Ofc.. like.. taking less caffeine would probably fix that better LOL. Now I take 200mg theanine AM, 100mg ~noon when I take other completely useless supplements that are just a way to convert pennies into pee and then 200mg at bedtime to wind down & nap.

It's all personal too, some people take theanine and then fall asleep at their desk. For me it sort of focuses brain energy. Without it if I accidentally click a reddit link I'm gone, it'll be 10 hours later and I've read the entire thread history of /r/13thCenturyFactsAboutExtinctMarsupials or some other idiotic waste of time. Which could entirely be placebo lol, I can't blind study myself since I technically know when I do/don't take it but with it I tend to run a bit more productive (Cold Turkey or nowadays RescueTime metrics), so grain of salts yadda yadda.

Or y'know you could not take anything so you don't end up writing posts like this and legitimately sound like a crackhead lmao. I wonder how some super disciplined monk would respond to the insane things people do to try and "up" their brainpower
