So as part of my insurance Rx fiasco I actually started looking into this too because I wanted a bunch of extra labs done this year and, of course, my doc basically said he could all but guarantee insurance would fuck me. Anyway there are a ton of places you can just pay out of pocket. LabCorp is expensive AF (their private lab thing is called Pixel) but is also what most doc offices around here use anyway, but this is the place I'm eyeing to do what I want:

YMMV if you actually have a good insurance company but mine is dogshit and the prices even with "coverage" are p close to what they charge by default.

I'm sure there are even better/cheaper/at-home options floating around, tbh I just found this off a random reddit thread lol. Might be worth an ask because without very specific reasons your insurance will not pay for a slew of things you probably really want to know about your body but will apparently be told to fuck off until you're actually dying from it

Should check that site, they have locations everywhere. The lipid panel at least is cheaper than even my insurance lol. I want to do 3mo followups on a few labs instead of 1yr and it's the only way to not get blasted since insurance generally will only do 1/yr at best :/
