FWIW if you have one of those laundry bags for small items it's best to throw the mouse in there "just in case" - similarly I always put the keys in there when I do a keyboard so they don't end up in 5,000 different places in the dishwasher lmao

 

My kid's never had a playdate in his entire life. He's went over and hung out with friends but I've never felt obligated to stay over there. You should be A ok lol. Just make sure you screen who your kids friends with and you should be ok.

 

Your kids will make friends. Eventually some of those friends parents will want to do a thing with you most likely. Your wife may or may not be happy to have other mommy friends. If she is needing other people/other mommy friends to talk to and hang out with then you just gotta lean in and hope someone likes sports or something

 

It's the WOOOOORSSSSTTT. Luckily with my kid and his friends we just drop the child off for a little bit. Maybe 5-10 minutes of chit chat and then come back in an hour or so.

 

I cleaned my mechanical keyboard in the tub and it worked good. Just had the long ass dry time like you said. But the mouse has lasers and shit. Hoping it's not too delicate of internals for this.

I think the whole idea of a playdate is generational and if everyone just helps phase it out it can go away
