I agree. I also wonder if this is allowed under the terms of service. I thought Amazon sold these types of services, that requesters paid them to have access to data. I could be wrong, but I don't see how this fits in with the rules of MTurk.

I talked to someone who's more upset about this than me, he said they should be reported. Maybe Amazon isn't aware of what they're doing and if enough people complain it might help:

Workers with a 99% approval rating being blocked from such a large amount of work is nuts, especially when their standards are like this:

to show how 1/2 awake i am, i read that as "party like a rollercoaster"

yeah the CR 1/2 was confirmed to come from the Survey Comet hits with the TurkPrime footer where you answer certain demographic questions. I 10000% agree with you, this feels super sketchy how someone can come in and basically undermine AMT by effectively charging a surcharge on top of the AMT fees to rule out "bad workers" in the CR 2 qual. I really dont know how they are still getting away by doing this. It really does kill peoples incomes if they get the CR 2 qual and im SURE not everyone that got that qual actually deserved it.

yeah you and i talked about that, a few others i know have it and they are all in the 99.9ish category too. it just is disconcerting that a qual like that from a THIRD PARTY data scraper can affect peoples income to that point.
