Millions across the US now like, great, another direct deposit to a bank account that's not mine

 

I've had the same bank account since the mid-'90s, I'm not worried.

Still people who did not get the 1st or 2nd check and will have to claim on tax returns.
Overall 1/10 from the government and 1/10 from citizens. I personally think it's too late for any stimulus check to genuinely help people, the real damage was done last year.

 

When I did my taxes, I had to mark that I got both stimulus payments last year and the amount was already filled in for me. Couldn't you just say that you didn't get the payments and then you'd get it with your tax refund? And I agree, at this point I dunno if a few thousand is going to help a family if they've been jobless for months. We're lucky that my husband never lost his job at any point.
