why would you put it on the desk if there's floor space? carpeting cause overheating problems or something? collects too much dust down there? i've never owned a tower pc so maybe this is a dumb question.

Gives me anxiety.. door and window in my office are across from each other too so I can only really sit in like 1 corner especially since I can't be anywhere near the door itself

 

First of all about the poll a laptop is a computer. Mines lives on a wooden wine box on its side that offers storage underneath so my desk is clear..

Second, I'm just the opposite. My back HAS to be to a window so I get the natural light but am not distracted by anything outside the window.
