If you're on 1.1.0 the next time it happens click "Details" and copy all the text (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste it into https://paste.ofcode.org/ and DM me the url that generates. Just check exception log but it's not in there which means I probably manually wrapped it like an idiot trying to fix it on his at some point in the past lol

It does it to me too. I just alwsys clicked continue and went on my way. It seems to happen when I click paste or ctrl+v before the text box actually has focus. Like it's slow to focus and the app is trying to paste into anyway and boom.

Oh I haven't fixed it.. in fact I have no earthly clue what the actual problem is.. but sure enough spamming ctrl+v like an absolute insane man crashes it in dev environment lmao

 

So I'm not around much these days, so maybe this has been reported and is totally unrelated, but sometimes I encounter an issue where pressing the 'A' key on my keyboard makes QBC switch Workspace tabs. This usually happens when I'm writing for a HIT, and persists until QBC is relaunched.

 

I have had this happen to me as well.

 

At least you know how to create the problem now? That is the first step in fixing it I guess. Woohoo. lol. I guess my fingers were just typing faster than my computer could go.

 

It switches tabs like to a completely different HIT?

My A key just doesn't work sometimes in qualtrics but it never sends me off in wild directions have you changed any of the default workspace shortcuts like qualtrics next page / etc?

 

Also next time you run into this send me the url of the survey, it'd be suuuuuper helpful because usually if it happens to me I'm actually working and so not in dev enviro and never remember to go back to fix it because if I'm doing a survey things are already looking bad in my day

Yup! Just completely changes tabs to a different HIT. I've encountered the issue maybe 3 times in the past month or so. I'll definitely give you a heads up the next time I see it. I haven't changed any shortcuts that I know of, and it doesn't happen all the time.

I don't even think it had anything to do with QBC in my case either. Basically a windows update fixed it. Looking at you Bill Gates.

 

Nah it's SUPER weird.. you basically have to click while ctrl is already pressed drag your mouse clicking into the box and hitting v at the same time to trigger it (consistently for me, at least)
