Ya know, I feel like I could make all of mturk a better place if I could get get paid a consistent $12/hour 8 hours a day to proofread these studies for spelling, grammar, and a ridiculous lack of the most relevant demographic questions with no feedback box.........What I'm saying is I could do their job much better.

So a $10/hr and $5/hr rule the $10/hr hit will get abandoned, but my $5/hr rule won't pick up the hit? or The $5/hr hit will pick up the $10/hr but not vice versa?

Nah sorry I was quoting your $4/hr setting and explaining why @ObsidianSage advice was the proper way to go.

If you have a $4/hr watcher active both the $5/hr and $10/hr HIT meet the criteria for acceptance. All other things equal the newest posted HIT is prioritized in the panda logic because the recency of a HIT is the largest determining factor in catching it so unless you actually want to work for $4/hr turning on a $4/hr watcher just to try and catch more work is a bad idea.

Basically if there's nothing on MTurk worth doing there's nothing on MTurk worth doing and lowering your standards becomes counterproductive/harmful.

I mean up to a certain point.. obviously you can be more picky w/ watcher settings on a monday in april than a friday in july and still make rent/etc lol. Just explaining the concept
