@Kadauchi @Jesicu & anyone else who got a 1099 last year... does your dashboard for 2016 show a higher amount than what's on the 1099? any clue why?

 

Yes When I went to hit submit vote on the last page it just took me to white screen that said loading next hit. But I'd open my assigned hits page and it was still there. Had to return because I almost timed out

 

Also you can establish that if they call on you it's going to result in an inappropriate joke that disrupts the class so the best move for them is to not let you speak.

I'm wondering if it could be that one represents the amount attributable to completed hits (in other words, PE), and the other could be what you were actually paid during the calendar year.

well i'm getting my total from my dashboard and amazon payment's monthly statements which i always download. those 2 match but the 1099 is $2500 less. it says "gross" income

My thought process was like @leafs4_cup but his idea is probably more likely.

Dashboard may just count what you were paid from Jan 1 to Dec 31. When they do the 1099 it could be adding up all the hits that were approved in 2016, and assuming they run that report on some date after Jan 1 it would include hits submitted in 2016 but approved in 2017.

 

Did you have a much better December 2016 than December 2015? Or an insanely good last week of 2016?

As @turks24 mentioned, you might want to add up your bonus amounts from the year and see if that makes up the difference.

 

I may be confusing things because I have to deal with taxes from two different countries, but I'm pretty sure 1099 represents the money you are actually paid during that year (even if it was technically "earned" the year before.) So if the dashboard represents completed or approved hits, and not "paid" hits, there would be a discrepancy.

Personally, my discrepancy would not be $2500, but I am not @Alina lol

Mines a little over $1050 off. Dashboard being higher.

I'm fairly certain the 1099 only shows things that were paid to me by December 31st, while dashboard keeps rising until everything submitted in 2016 was paid.

He sent me a link to redo it and he accepted it now, his instructions were really unclear for the second part basically you use your arrows keys, left and right to fill up the dots on the picture. He even rejected @Randomacts

He is a good requester, just really bad at explaining things.
