Setting your watchers so low for hit value actually hurts you. QBC will only let you create so many pandas. If you have one for $3 searching (that might hit in a min or two) and 20 1cent hits post, it will turn off the $3 panda to fill up your panda list with 1cent pandas. I recommend setting the watcher min to a realistic min for your needs and not trying to accept EVERYTTHING that is posted as a new hit on mturk.

Thanks, I didn't knew about that. What watcher configuration do you typically use?

 

I create 1 "your view" watcher for a min of somewhere between $7.25-$10.00 (depending on the day of the week). Same with 1 "turkerview" watcher. And I also create 1 "unrated" watcher for the same dollar amount as the other 2. 3 watchers total.

Just to further explain. The pandas QBC creates for you it auto manages. It may let it run 10 cycles, or 50. It depends on it's internal queues/management/config. You can manually create 50 pandas if you want (don't do this, lol) and they will all keep running until you turn them off. But the auto created ones, it may turn off at any time based on newer hits posting. Since new hits have a higher likelyhood of being caught. But the tradeoff from 1cent, to say $5 is huge.
