Looks up the full retail cost of new migraine medicine that got approval by my insurance with basically no pushback for curiosity's sake. $900 - $950 for 10 pills, depending on the pharmacy. Thank goodness I only $4 out of pocket.

 

Dear God, what the fuck is wrong with our health care system? I guess I could understand if it was so rare they can only manufactor like 100 pills a year or something, but ofcorse that isn't the case. I don't have health insurance, which means this med would be completely dead to me. I hate people. I have a lot of hate for everything right now after reading that. If I only had enough money to move to another country that doesn't use and abuse it's citizens.

Don't wanna piss of CT by keeping this going, but that's very good info that I wasn't considering.

 

I know, wish our health care system for A LOT better too. (That will be the extent of political type talk), Migraines are super common, so companies are making hand over fist with this med and other meds in its class.

That med is for when I actually get migraines. Another med I take for preventing them costs $1,200 for a once-monthly injection if I had to pay out of out-of-pocket.

I have migraines a handful of times a year. They suck. I feel very bad for others who have it worse than me. I can treat mine with OCT stuff and sleep.

 

yeah botox is extremely expensive.
