sorry to go off topic. but if you have short grain rice and medium grain and long grain. and they are all the same type like white, brown, or wild. do they always take longer to boil the longer they are? trying to fix my recipes.

This problem started 2.5 PCs ago. The monitor wouldn't "wake up" on boot. That is PC would load and POST and all but I couldn't see anything meaning I couldn't do anything. Googling didn't help till I approached it from a monitor standpoint. THEN found that nvidia cards don't have enough juice to "wake up" display ports unless set to max performance. Particurly affecting LG monitors. Guess what monitor I have.

soaking rice for 15 to 20 minutes beforehand really helps with the cooking process

instant pot has nice feature to cook rice

 

Im not cool enough to have a rice cooker I choose the ramen cooker instead

 

Look I'm not complaining. I am now a Ryzen owner so... this is cool. That CPU was 12 years old. But apparently all the parts weren't dead so.... Maybe I'll give them away or whatever. My sister I think wanted the RAM.

 

Rice cookers can go up to over 200 BUCKS, WHYYY, nevermind I like my stove just fine.

I'm a baby, so no.

 

I am feeling so bad for my little. She broke a tooth in cheer from taking a shoe to the mouth and needs a root canal. We had to postpone it because of her covid status but no biggie, hadn't been bothering her. She just came out of her room sobbing, in a mask, holding her face. I gave her some clove oil on it and a little helper. I am hoping that she zonks out. Local dentist can't do it she already has appt at the University in October, soonest they have. Anyone have a good toothache remedy?

 

something that will get her to fall asleep, that is non-addictive. and check on her often because she may change positions and put pressure on her mouth while she's sleeping.
