We use a variety of technologies to identify workers who have already responded to our study. A prior response indicates that the worker either completed the HIT or failed to qualify. We don't allow workers to retake the study in either of these situations.

I can type pretty fast and enjoy typing so it wasn't too bad for me, although it is quite a bit of typing for the pay.

Cons:
Definitely avoid if you are not a fast typer.

The whole time I was wondering why the task was necessary when the docs were clearly made in a word processor to begin with (and could easily be scanned / OCR'd).

Qmee and prolific were the first things i tried, if only they were as good as mturk. Prolific never gave me anything besides the initial survey . and qmee, there were surveys that just redirected you endlessly.

 

Same here, I made an account 2 months ago and spent time filling out 100% of my profile and still have never gotten a single survey.
