Wow, that's certainly one way to approach it!

I'll try to address the points as I can:

    First:

Your complaint with the requester is that he was rude. However, you have been extremely rude to me, in just one exchange.
You don't know me. You don't know who I am. Yet you baselessly discredit me, others.

You say, "Just because someone is not as well read as me does not give him (OR YOU for that matter) any reason to talk down to them or negatively about them." you say, yet it's incredibly hypocritical of you to say that to me, talk down to me...and then assume to know my everything about me, then slander me, and assume I think less of people on the forums :emoji_sweat:

Many people here literally *Karen'ed* him. "Can I speak to your IRB?" The natural reaction is to lash back. This begs the question how you treated him.

I don't think that I am better than people here because of any achievement. ChrisTurk, DareAngel, Moridin, Kathleen, Josh83 and many others have tenacity, compassion, creativity, exceptional work ethic, many other qualities that I don't have, and can't be measured with paper. An MBA, a PHD wouldn't do justice to some's contributions.

Whether you believe I have a degree or not is irrelevant. I could have a kindergarten education and still point out truths.
Whether you believe I remember minutia about HITs I did years ago, or that I am in the top 100th percentile of rapid chess players is irrelevant either-It is the truth, and I only mention it now because it may lend credence to the fact that I remember that requester and their city allocation group. "This will trick many people" I said, all three times I did the test.

Do you remember what two categories you changed? I do. First Response and Public services. Do you remember how many workers were mentioned on that replacement? I do. 4-6 in the first, 6 8 in the second test iteration.
If you want more proof, please DM me. I'll be glad to play with you in chess too!

    As to MBA and money:

First off this: Mturk is good money, even for MBAs.

If you review my posting history,
I generally maximize my time, and don't do work that is under $20/hr.

    Here are some recent days:

    upload_2021-12-8_18-10-29.png

    upload_2021-12-8_18-11-26.png
    upload_2021-12-8_18-11-45.png

Am I the best? No. But to put it into perspective, the $40-100/hr on some requesters is indeed more than having a Master's Degree, postgrad work for hourly. With two kids, it helps having a good supplement. There are several batches that pay significantly more than an MBA.

If you need a list of them, DM me. I am happy to share info to help you.

As for the examples I included: Your letter was well-written, but there are many, many examples that I've personally seen reviewing backend work for "Does the worker properly do X"-style HITs, where workers ignore, speed-through, or put in minimal effort.

Just today, while reviewing "Write 1-2 sentences decribing Mugen" and people putting "hi" "abcs" "fu" etc
or simple, rude, nonsensical responses, or just submitting with one letter etc. More complex tasks have even worse examples of low effort.

It would easy to attribute these nonsense/careless responses to Non-English-speaking individuals, were it not the US-State
quals on the tasks. While some people probably didn't deserve a rejection, many probably did.

I'm sure you've seen Remeshes. Some people sadly aren't at the appropriate level of reading, writing, or comprehension needed. Some are, but speed through, or are up late/on their 1000th hit of the day.

I'm sure you've seen the reviews: People tossing back Choice labs because of "writing exp/misc" in return reviews.

Despite what you may think, these are relevant to the discussion. These examples, easily demonstrable, reviewable examples of people being lazy, speeding through, or being careless. I gave recent, relevant examples of the worker being wrong.

Yes, there are many requesters who reject work wrongly.
Yes, there are those who make mistakes and blame the worker.
In this case, some people were rejected. The IRB upheld it. This seems to *me* to be a case where there is at least some fault with the workers.

They literally said: USE THIS CODE WE GIVE YOU, NOT THE AUTO GENERATED ONE. And then people got mad cause they didn't have matching codes. If I were an IRB, I would reject too...but I'd also remove the big glaring code most workers normally use.

Anecdotally, IRB boards are very responsive. More likely than not, I never get a response from requesters, but when I do, from an IRB, it's very often favorable.
Perhaps it's because I asked them very nicely but this is literally one the first IRBs that I've ever heard of ruling in the requester's favor, off and on since 2015.

In this case, it seems to me that people unfairly jumped on the requester and deny any culpability for error.
Friendliness goes a long way in written word, and it seems, in this rare example, people were not fair how they acted towards the requester.

Regardless, if you want to debate, please message me to keep forums clear!
If you like screenshots or want to discuss further, just shoot me a tell!

Hmmm, maybe I'll start giving out 'likes' instead of 'loves' so people can be promoted. Maybe. Is that true for all of the different titles?

Yea from what I could tell every title upgrade is based on a threshold of likes. Well-known turker is 250 or something

Not gonna lie, I didn't even know it was possible to make that much outside of just some crazy lucky 16 hour day. Dang, I guess I need to up my research on Turking a little. Feel like I've kinda plateaued at like 30-40 on a decent day. :emoji_thumbsup:

I average about $20 a day right now which helps pay for "extras." I retire in three years, though, and I would love to make more then.

I don't know what sort of problems that you have, but you're going to have to deal with them yourself as I'm not gonna get into this with you. I could say many things to you about your humble brags, tone deaf remarks, and all manners and categories of things relating to your abrasive attitude. But I will not today. Instead I will just kindly ask you to NEVER, and boy do I mean NEVER, interact with me again.

    Thank you very much.

I hate likes. Every time someone gives me a Like instead of a Heart, I come at night and TP their house. True story.

Yeah, I'm unemployed so I have a lot of time to kill. I really should put some more time into improving my Turking though since I've kinda just been winging it for a bit too long. Especially with December being as weak as it has been for me.
