12/14 - Frozen Tundra (and Tacos) Tuesday

I did two HITs for them yesterday. My results are the same as @L Lemon's.

 

Prolific is geared more towards academic surveys. Several people who frequent this thread also do some work over there when they can.

 

Thank you. The first one is the one I am waiting on. Had that tricky 2 codes to enter. I was just looking for reassurance that I didn't botch mine somehow. Hopefully we all get approved soon.

ohhh, well I see that makes sense then. It's just, I still am well above a 98% approval rate I think, so i didn't know it was such a big deal to have any rejections until I got them, but I learned quickly.

 

What happens if my payment status says pending for days? Is it possible that it never gets approved and I don't get paid ?

 

Requesters have 30 days to approve or reject your HIT. If they don't it will auto approve after pending for 30 days.

 

It gets automatically approved after 30 days. Generally, most requesters approve well before 30 days. You can look on TurkerView to get a general sense, or on Amazon.

James Billings is the worst HIT out there, literally the worst i've seen yet. You've been trolling me, what are you talking about

 

The information that you're seeing there comes from TurkerView. It's put together from all of the reviews that you see here in the forum, plus a lot more that you don't see. The information is more or less accurate and gives you some idea of which requesters are good to work for and even has helpful information about individual hits. TurkerView is linked up at the top of the page. It is a useful resource and one that you might want to spend some time getting familiar with.

So yeah, James Billings actually does approve quickly, but as you seem to have learned is still not a good requester.

Cons:
Lonnng. Sucky interface. Bubbly.

Couldn't get this to work in Chrome after the first practice round. Sent a message, but after waiting 30ish minutes for a response, tried it in Firefox and it worked fine.
