Idk if you read the fine print, but the whole shtick of "Fair work" is that it is a fantastic end-run around actual IRB/ethics. The script requires handing over the entire dataset over to the Stanford folk (who, by the by, were part of the fly-by-night and disappear fucking over the entire workforce Daemo project) who can and do discuss nuking workers (in a CR-2 esque way) who "game" the system since it hurts their pretty conference presentations.

Source: I sat through one of their conference presentations, though I did the 2+2 work to go from what they said vs what I wrote.

 

Starting to think I may need to consider baking all hits just to give the impression I'm taking their stupid "studies" seriously... sucks to not have real stats for yourself to look at tho

 

Point being, don't try to game it one way or another. They're actively checking, and using it means (in most likely hood) the Stanford folk are fully plugged up w/ the base requesters entire mturk requester account same way CR gets access to them. So if you guess wrong OR do something they've actively checking for, they can (and have openly discussed) eliminating your account from future access / other penalties.

God help you if you're using assistive tech or are otherwise also just a random outlier for legitimate reasons

At the same time tho, been feeling like a lot of reqs have pay ratings from reviews that they don't deserve.. cus if the review times reflected the amount of time it would take if everyone was actually taking the amount of time the req wants on their hit, the rate would be way, way lower & I feel like that should be reflected on the req's reputation

If you have the Tag Assistant extension, you can see that there's quite a few of those sites that are running Google tags on pages too, so they know exactly what you did, how long you spent on each page, and what you navigated away to, etc.
