Good to know (but I wish you made money!), I'm still recovering financially from vacation and it was hard to take the day off, but one set of pads was down to metal, couldn't wait anymore.

 

Glad you got them fixed. Brakes are a necessary evil to stay on top of. My car (Bertha) is 15. I went to get brake pads last week, only to find the rotors couldn't be reconditioned and had to be replaced. That was an expensive day.

 

Detroit axle usually has really good prices and they are on amazon, so 2-day shipping, for future reference. If you do them yourself.

I'm just hoping that I can work monday and tuesday because I have more dental work on wednesday. hoping I don't have to take an entire week off like last time but he is pulling a tooth and grinding others on a quarter of my mouth. by the time all of this is all done (hopefully by the end of the year), my mouth will probably be worth as much as your car lmao. maybe more, we haven't even started talking about replacing the teeth he's been pulling yet and that's probably going really kill me. part of the reason I let my roommate claim me, so that I can get more taxes back for this rather than having to pay them. I told him how much to claim for me and how to file it but he's got a real job and agreed to split whatever we get with me.

 

My dad used to always do them for me.... he's 80 now and just can't maneuver like he used to. If son was here I would have had him do it. I really should have shown interest when my dad wanted to teach me all that stuff.... I'm sure paying now!

 

Dental work is SO expensive... and I've never had a GOOD dental insurance. Hope all goes smoothly for you.

 

luckily my mom is helping me a little. we've never been close, she didn't raise me but I've been trying to have a relationship with her during the pandemic since my grandfather (her father) passed. thankfully she's in delaware and not kentucky makes it less stressful to communicate because I can just hang up the phone...

 

I believe you. Didn't have good dental care as a kid so I had to make it up as an adult, crowns, root canals, a few pulled and filled with bridges... yeah I've never owned a car worth this much. I'm sorry, dental work sucks. I hope Wednesday goes good.
