I always say left handed but in reality because of the right handed world I'm probably more ambidextrous than anything. Its just most people mean "what hand do you write with" when they ask from my experience.

I use my right hand for using a computer mouse and throwing a ball. Use my left for swinging a bat and using scissors, in addition to writing. For opening a door, I use whatever is more convenient though I prefer my left hand somewhat.

 

yeah, that's how I feel about it too but especially when it's "games" or "e&i" type tasks, I wish they would add an ambidextrous option, you know?

 

YES! Writing is one of the few things I do solely left handed. I even paint, and very rarely draw, with both hands.

 

I catch and throw leftie and it wasn't until I was twelve or thirteen that a coach had me try and realized I was better right but would sometimes have me batt left because that's harder for a pitcher and would be an automatic walk. As an adult, when I go to the batting cage, I alternate half and half because it's a better workout. I can't use a crossbow (they're made for right handers), but rock a longbow as a leftie, like better than someone using a crossbow which is supposed to be easier to aim.

never used a crossbow or longbow, but I probably would want to use it in a left-handed fashion.

I know the one time I did use a gun (at a training range when I was in Scouts), I did prefer to use it left handed.

I started elementary school around the time computers were becoming enough of a thing that did some training on it - mostly in the form of improving typing speed. Think that they had some left-handed mice, but never really liked it. Figured that I could be using a mouse with my right hand while writing or getting a sip of water with my left.

Weird thing is both my sister and I are lefties, but both our parents are righties. Made it super easy to figure out seating arrangements though when we went out to eat.

 

I've never been screened out of a study because I was a lefty. I think there are certain theories about southpaws in psychology, but I'm not sure why some researchers ask the question.
I write, use a fork, and brush my teeth with my left hand. I throw a ball, hold a tennis racket, and use a mouse with right hand. I have messy handwriting. I blame spiral notebooks and those awful desks that are made for right-handed people.

In college, I legit dropped an English teacher's class because she wouldn't let me use a legal pad in her class. IN COLLEGE. may have told my dean she was a nazi... in my defense, she was super old with a German name. my dean was Lebanese and had numerous complaints on her, so he probably agreed with me...
