So I was logging into a study on prolific, as soon as I started the study it went to a loading screen for a long time then my computer crashed and couldn't reboot, said it was missing a boot driver, luckily I was manually able to reboot. They state that they check your internet speed prior to starting the survey, I'm assuming because of the game type platform they're using. I'm wondering if maybe the type of program they are running had anything to do with it? I noticed the study was up earlier then taken down before it filled up then they reposted it again so I'm assuming they were having issues? Maybe it was coincidental? I don't know enough about this stuff but it freaked me out.
