My QBC pooped out, "Unable to boot QBC, please try again". I tried reinstalling but no luck on either computer. The ratings stuff is working fine here.

 

To get past the issues, I switched on my VPN and rebooted my laptop.

Edit: to add, flusing dns and registering did nothing for me.

 

Perks of waking up late, missing most of the chaos and everything working fine here (for now )

 

Be careful with that VPN, I don't have one. I guess this is gonna be buggy for a little bit. I'm up to $25 on Prolific so I'm good.

 

Must be nice. I've gotten zip on Prolific since like 10 this morning.

 

Yeah, I am making sure any surveys do not have the VPN warning before proceeding. Prolific also does not like VPN's, but I have not looked at any surveys over there today.

Anyone else just out of the blue get their account suspended?? Mine was suspended on Saturday due to " because our records indicate that your Worker account is related to another Amazon Mechanical Turk account that was closed for violation of the MTurk Participation Agreement.

I have had my account for nearly 12 years! 1 account, same id number, same email address, same name, same everything. Sorry but they can just arbitrarily suspend accounts on a whim without detailed information, can go to hell. I rely on this income and have not done anything to warrant my account being suspended. Let me tell you though, I would not be surprised if certain requesters can have your account suspended because they may not like your opinions on their surveys! Who knows, I cannot think of anything else!

I have emailed them asking them to reactivate or tell me at least what reasons other than what they told me. What other accounts, on what dates? etc.

They wrote back to 1 email saying they cannot do anything about it! This should be illegal! They should be able to produce their "records" that they have showing what they have regarding their reasons for suspending.

I thin @ChrisTurk is still standing on the hose as my QBC isn't doing much of anything

 

@Cappo mentioned having their account suspended for no apparent reason, reinstated, then suspended again.
