I've been on Prolific since it began. 6 months ago I moved and had to change internet providers and Prolific doesn't have them listed as a trusted provider, so even though I'm an approved worker and my account is in good standing, I haven't been able to accept any jobs since the spring. It's been so frustrating.

I currently have the same two sitting there for the last two days. They both suck and I am debating doing them. In the past I found that after I did a bunch of studies I would have a few days to a week of getting nothing. I pretty much pushed prolific to the side for quite awhile cause mturk was booming. I started checking them again around Sept when mturk was quiet. I think right now is the holiday lull, but I also think after you do a certain amount they stop the flow for a bit and then reintroduce them.

I wish Prolific would start allowing batch work. I prefer batch work over surveys but turk is the only platform that has batch work.

 

It would be nice if you could queue up 25 hits on prolific too!

 

I get that. I have wondered the same thing but in the long run I do get more studies if I update the 'about me' info monthly. I guess it can go both ways. Whatever you do tho if Prolific asks you if they can monitor the study/survey you choose... always decline. I found I received less studies.
