that and my BASE pay was $1 and got 65c and all the rest of these hits are raking in $10 or so. Empirica just made my block list

 

I agree with your observation that - if the rest of the team didn't understand how it grew, the bonus would have been low. My team had several that figured it out, and we got a rhythm going. Same as you for my version - 30 min, 35 rounds

shit guys, I forgot to add the (I think it was $3.50) base pay into the bonus so I guess my bonus will be $12.68. I think. $9.18 was just from the game itself.

 

MTurk came back up for me, and I was able to catch one at 1:01pm with a panda. Apparently, there were different versions. My hit stated it was paying a base pay of $3.50 plus the bonus I earned during the hit. My group had a few players that contributed a lot every round as did I, so we did pretty well. We had a few players that every few rounds wouldn't contribute anything, but overall we made out pretty well. I was worried MTurk was going to go down when I submitted the code, though.

 

yeah, that's why I was supposed to be somewhere an hour ago and still at home. caught a $5 pie right in the last five rounds of that game. Totally made my day that I wasn't expecting on doing anything.

 

but see, that isnt the case. this isnt about "understanding how it grew" this is about human greed. my game we had only 10 rounds, the first couple we all went all in. then the next ones myself and other did for a couple then saw the third person had put in 0 so we put in 0. people get the game and get how its played but dont care, they want it all and not to share with anyone

Wow! Due to the study integrity I chose to not explain why my bonus was so low, but I can guarantee you it had nothing to do with "understand how it grew". I've been here long enough to have figure out basics like that.

 

I've never had a bad Empirica but have had other tasks like that that were super shitty. I wouldn't block them though. It's always crapshoot going into those, especially when you get the player that doesn't speak English or runs the timer out on every round. don't make me pull out some girlscout shit and start a round of kumbaya... let's be shiny, happy people
