Pay is going to depend on how much of the song you listen to. Since I listen longer, this is not great for me, but I enjoy the HITs. They often have a link to the band/artist at the bottom so I find new music and get paid for it.

at this point i think they got popped by Paypal with a chargeback from those scamming people that were posting fake hits and such or that Paypal looked into their account and temp closed it for some reason. im leaning towards the first with the second nipping at its heels.

 

the fake account was on Prolific though, unless I missed another one happening

It does seem likely some limitation has been placed on their acct tho

I mean, I've read it on reddit, but remember, this side of that company is less than a year old. A lot of us signed up for the beta right around a year ago and had to wait nearly six months for much traction. even when they were giving researchers incredibly low fees just to convert them. I think they got too big a little faster than they expected and while making sure they had a reliable platform, forgot to make it comfortable for the participants too. I have faith, but I really will need that smoke money in a day and a half or so.

from what i remember, there was some scammers posting on connect that had posted hits then culled email addresses and emailed people posing as connect to try and get people to give their usernames/passwords/etc in email to them saying their accounts were compromised or whatnot

 

yeah. that was on both reddit and fb but not as bad as the racist prolific/chicago booth

 

It just seems odd that the payments for the requester side and the worker side of the platform are on the same PayPal account. It would make no sense to do it that way. It is very odd that they are not paying the workers what they are owed...

 

i kinda slightly have this feeling that they might take the $ and run, as shady as they have been prior with all the mturk kerfuckery they caused

 

I just got 5 rejections stating "TRUE". 105 approved and 267 pending

 

Same, lol. I actually do respect a requestor, that will manually reject a few hits in a batch. I know it's not the best though for your mturk stats.

 

The stats aren't a problem. I only have 57 rejects out of 345,000 hits. These hits were very subjective so I think that might be the problem and I don't like doing free work.

 

It is super interesting. They seem to have a well developed company and team, from looking at their website and company LinkedIn.

 

Yeah I get that. Let's just get the other one's approved soon. Yeah rejections are not great for subjective work, that's true. Those are amazing stats too BTW.
