    Something doesn't seem right with their response. End users have reported calling Paypal directly and speaking with someone live to discuss account issues. Sure you might wait on hold for an hour to do so. I don't understand why Connect cannot do the same unless they are covering up a problem that will raise flags with researchers and or participants.

    Most likely, it's the scale of it. They're probably running hundreds if not thousands of transactions in a short period of time and it will take Paypal more time to check those. Normal end users don't usually have so many to check so it's a quicker fix. Connect also haven't been running this for very long or for a large enough amount to matter (at least to Paypal) so I'm betting they're not high on the priority list.

    My bet is we're probably all just going to end up with Amazon gift cards before Paypal finishes.

    As someone with way too many years experience working customer service call center job for one of the biggest companies in the world, I can tell you to completely disregard anything a random person on the internet has been told by a customer service rep on the phone for one of the largest companies in the world
