Some are trash. Most are mediocre. But occasionally you can find a real good one on there and I go straight to Spotify to add them. It's always a pleasant surprise.

 

it's in my queue but you know how it works when they give you a 2 hour timer on a 10 minute hit.

 

Sometimes I try to remind myself I have no idea who is on the other side of this criticism and from the sounds of it, they prob have some issues... I always wonder if they are shown all the feedback without any filter. Also I remember sharing the first song I made when I was like 13 years old and got absolutely blasted bc it was really terrible...

 

Prolific notifications aren't great because they definitely don't email me every time a new survey drops. Maybe once a day at the most.

I try to be as constructive as possible with my criticisms, but there are times when it's... shall we say challenging? Some of them I wonder if it's a vanity project that stems from the fact that they were never told no or that's not a good idea for their entire lives and just have no sense of perspective.

And sharing something you wrote when you were 13 sounds like one of Dante's circles of hell. I could never. That's a god-tier level of guts to do something like that.

Haha, yeah well I was still 13 at the time and I actually loved the song when I made it. So I think a lot of the people who submit songs prob don't have any idea how bad it really is

Then again, most of these seem to be made by adults who should have some more self awareness

Or maybe its all AI songs
