CloudResearch is so shady this might have been a game to get people's personal info. Not that it could do harm but they're way too intrusive. There's no end to their fuckery and I trust PayPal way more than I do them. Hope you all get your money.

I could not stand those people who were affiliated with the Turkopticon group that started a petition to instate some kind of minimum wage for Mturk, who I guarantee CR was a part of. They would have took soo much work off of the Mturk platform. They are truly tyrants. I really dislike academics.

I agree 100% and CR is taking work off the platform now. There used to be rules about this sort of thing but evidently no rules apply to the Cambridge Analytica of online research.

 

I only do well on there with a jury duty hit so I don't think $250 a day will be a problem.

Never seen a platform that demanded "feedback" for requesters after every single survey (especially where it was so obvious that said feedback was expected to be positive, and even more so now that the feedback section has been extended) This is the paranoia talking, but I couldn't shake the feeling that that was some kind of attempt to gather information for a paid service later on? (cause otherwise that seems almost, Idk, narcisstic for no apparent reason)

What happens if you give honest feedback that's not favorable?
Why does PayPal not want to deal with them?

Just did that myself, I had $31 so I'm off to buy something stupid.

 

If they owed me money I'd start contacting the requesters I worked for and ask them WTF, is CR is so shady even PayPal won't deal with them. I bet they'd get their shit together faster.

I don't even do that. I just I give it stars and click dashboard. I like that it gives the option though if something really sucks. I haven't had to do it but its better than the mturk system that doesn't even send the email lie that they are looking into it anymore.
