Whats the deal with the SAGE / Google surveys on Prolific? Do they all suck now? I keep seeing they post new ones on Prolific but the hourly pay is bad so I keep skipping them

 

I have a love/hate relationship with Prolific's rating system because sometimes the average time is WAY off due to some people taking forever on what should be done faster.

  I finally caught my first survey on Prolific today. Don't be jealous of this one.

 

That's what I've been wondering about these, but sometimes these Google surveys can be pretty bad and take a long time/be super annoying. Since they post a ton of slots, I figure the time is prob accurate overall

 

I've done them when I'm bored but motivated. the recent ones that I can recall were super easy and didn't have a bonus but seemed shorter than the mturk ones with a bonus. I think the times are so varied with those on prolific because some workers can't figure out what is different between the two search results. once you see it, it's easy to remember and knock through 10-15 comparisons. it's a ymmv thing more than them sucking.

 

I've done several of the shorter ones that pay less, but it seems like the ones that pay over $1 are usually the really annoying ones. Guess I should just go ahead and check it out to see for myself

shockingly, I'm not in the demo for it lmao but that's ok. I've already decided to finish listening to my podcast before committing to the two I've been staring at in there for days. I did one of these yesterday and it was way too long. Every time I thought it was over, there was another set of 15 results.
