Also in QBC settings menu, there is a Panda Timer option in the upper left where you can specify the Panda Timer in ms, if you think that's related to the MTurk issue

Edit: I can't seem to change the ms number so I'm not sure what the deal is with that setting, I've never used it before I don't think

Do you use Auto Refresh Plus for Prolific or is there something better? I absolutely hate this extension because it fails constantly.

 

I use auto refresh plus and I've had zero issues with it. Works great for me

 

Really?? Mine constantly rings as if a page change is detected when there is no page change. I have it set at min 10 sec and max 15 sec. What settings are you using?

 

I don't use the change detection feature at all so I can't comment on that. If its constantly ringing Prolific, I'd guess it has something to do with Prolific automatically detecting/showing new studies, there is probably a change in the page state that you aren't seeing

You could try disabling the animation and see if it helps. I only leave page refresher on when Prolific is active on my screen, so I will see if something shows up

 

Yeah I disable the animations. That just causes a longer load. I wonder if it's because I'm constantly watching Twitch streams while it's refreshing in the background and the bandwidth is just messing with it. Oh well. I just wondered if there was something better. Thanks for your help, as always.

I'm pretty sure it would be caused by Prolific's own auto-refresh - there may be changes you aren't seeing or it tried to refresh itself before AutoRefresher did. Plus sometimes filtered out studies won't show on the page but you can see it says 0/1 Filter Studies or whatever it says

 

Finally decided to just go with it and do a Jury Duty connect study. Was worth it. Was not bored the entire time kinda nice.

Hope everyone has been well and had a great day so far. I just feeling like punching out all of my anger into something and just crying. Long story short, I have a lowered car and it's been my baby for 18 years now. I recently had to have some custom fab work done on it and that was an 8 month wait alone for availability for the fab guy. That's fixed, but now comes the fun part, alignment. No biggie, I have a lifetime alignment at Firestone. BAD IDEA! I took it there Thurs and had 2 new tires put on. They left a mess of grease all in my carpet and floor mats, switched out the wrong tires, but made things right before I left. I spent all day up there Thurs because of that and missed out on work here, so I lost money there. I get home and the damn valve stem is leaking air, not to mention the car is steering to the right and vibrating cause the new guy didn't balance my wheels properly (I've worked on cars all my life so I can easily spot these things.)

So I had called them 2 different times since the weekend and yesterday to make an appointment for 9 am this morning to fix everything and specifically told them I didn't want anyone test driving my car (which they ignored)! I get there this morning they fix the tire situation and boy oh boy did they fuck my alignment all up and the car is steering worse to the right. My steering wheel is sitting at 10 o clock now and so is my front driver's side wheel/tire. Then I notice oil spots all across my hood that they didn't clean off and had no reason to be there in first place. Corporate is really going to hear from me on this shit do believe. It's just great because I missed out on work today, wasted gas, wear and tear on my vehicle and my new tires. Not to mention the emotional stress and insanity I'm going through right now. Bills are all past due minus rent and the damn taxes are due. I just want to beat the fuck out of a wall and cry. I'm about just fed the hell up, I just can't win in life it seems. I don't know if I'll be on here or not any the rest of today. I need a good long shower and some relaxation. I hope everyone has a great day. Not to mention, I pull my previous alignments and go over them with a car buddy of mine and they've been doing my alignments wrong over the years, this time it's nearly dangerous to even drive. Why they'd let a car leave their shop like that is beyond me. Sorry for the rant, I'm pissed and sad at the same time. Moral of the story is don't trust these big shops to do a proper job because they won't! Support your local shops that actually take time to do it right!

 

As usual only the QBC trying to sync causes the refresh error on mturk.com that's why I'm saying it's the culprit. The settings won't save, for next launch it again asks OTP. Watchers page shows SETTING UP for ever.
