I honestly forgot that I even had one until I was out of power for four days after the storms last month. my neighbor let me boil water on their stove for it since they have gas.

I've used so many coffee making devices chasing the dragon..

French Press, Aeropress, Percolator, Drip, ones I can't remember right now...

I loved the French Press cus its simple and produces great coffee, but ultimately I thought most of the hype around using the "perfect method" to make coffee is way overblown. I checked my water temp to get it perfectly ideal, brew time, etc. Aeropress has a lot of little tricks to it. Yea the coffee is slightly better than drip, but I also love having a full pot of coffee to drink on

@mdeem I always take it with me on vacation because its so much better than most hotel coffee.
@Sagebrushdan the insurance adjustor just came the other day after our second horrible storm of spring. we've been talking about maybe installing some when we fix the roof, depending on our tax refund (I let my roommate claim me and it usually works out that I don't have to pay on this stuff and we still get a good refund).

 

I'd love to go at least partially solar but its way out of my price range from what I've looked at. Going to have to wait till its more normalized/cheaper

I've heard the cheapest way to do solar, is to do it when you install a new roof. I'd only do solar if the rebates were still available, which I don't think they are. Just throw a few panels in your backyard DIY, off-grid.

This study consists of two separate parts. In the first part, we will ask you about some of your daily experiences. In the second part of the study, you will view some images and then answer some questions. The study should take about 5-7 minutes to complete and you can do so at your own pace. The study should only be completed on a computer and you will need working headphones/speakers to complete the study.
