10 cents a minute beats zero when nothing is catching.. I'm kinda missing the reliable scam requesters atm

 

TBH I am kinda digging how the other platforms function without catchers. I am totally fine with having it setup like that where you just have to get it if you can, and we're all on equal playing fields. Even if you programmed a catcher for those sites, you can't build a queue of different surveys

 

I started on mturk in college like 10 years ago and that's how it worked. It had its positives and negatives. Right now I liked the system more because at least there was work up 24 hours a day probably because it couldn't be done as fast.

 

IMO There is just a lot less work on MTurk in general now, everything else aside

Ten years ago you could still build a queue, so it's a little different from Prolific and Connect in that respect. It was also full of SEO optimization bullshit that no one wants to do by hand anymore.

 

That's also true, combine that with there are more people turking now and i see why Mturk is in the state its in. But honestly, pre-pandemic when i would randomly log in, it was much better days than post pandemic.

 

Writing paid more, there were photo classification and tagging HITs, transcriptions HITs that everybody hated, click the link HITs..

I guess there are still receipts that's probably still up from 2012

 

Photo classification and tagging can now be done with AI, and writing is following suit. I think transcriptions are still there, though? Just hidden behind quals.

I rarely panda batches and that's when it happened to me the other day

 

It definitely happens to me almost every batch. Its strange bc its the same panda rate as just trying to catch any other hit but when its catching multi batch hits it usually happens

 

This is my favorite account to follow...every place. I love it. It always makes me smile.

 

Can you elaborate on this? I use Forker w/PCM - Forker doesn't show you PREs. I never get PREs with Panda Crazy. But I do notice that if I do a HIT through Panda Crazy that the Captcha count will go up by 1 each HIT. I have never placed a lot of emphasis on Captchas. Is there something I should be glaringly aware of that I am not?

 

lmao it didn't do it during my xlab hell last night though. I let it catch 30 or more. that was in the middle of the night est

(gotta say, with all the discussion about PREs/turksite unavailable errors, I haven't really tried to do batches since I've come back. sounds like vastly more frustration than it's worth)

 

Brain Bridge reversed all my rejections!! It took me leaving (true) shit reviews, and sending them the link to it, but they reviewed and reversed so I'm happy either way

You should be able to see your PRE total in PCM. It's to the right of where it says "ACCEPTED" and under "Groupings".

It should say "PRE's: X"
(X= your total number of PREs)
