Morning everyone.

Had to take my cat to the emergency vet around 2am Thursday night as she start not wanting to eat or play about 12 hours earlier. She just wanted to hang out in only one particular cat bed and her stomach seemed to be a bit tender based on her reaction when I picked her up. Came back home for watchful waiting after some basic blood work came back normal, an exam that only found a tender stomach, and an anti-nausea med.

Soon as we came back, she started acting almost completely normal by demanding treats and wanting to explore the apartment building hallway. The best guess is that she got into something that upset her stomach enough that she didn't want to eat at all for about 18 hours. She still is somewhat reluctant to eat wet food and is more clingy than usual, but is as demanding treat-wise and wants to go out into the hallway as normal. Still keeping a super close eye on her to make sure she isn't getting into something and/or starting to backslide. Still can't figure out what she got into.

I'm so glad kitty is feeling better and that it wasn't anything serious!

 

Really hope it turns out ok for you and is nothing serious! Emergency vet trips are the worst... dealt with a lot of that over the last couple years. Starting in October I lost 3 cats to rapid down-turns with cancer, lost one each month through December... just now starting to feel kind of normal again but I'm pretty screwed up from it still. Especially since my cats are my only friends
