Do you guys use an auto refresh for Connect? I've tried it in the past but I've found that unless you actually have that window open, you can't catch anything. You can't run it in the background like Prolific.

 

I've tried, but the logging in/loading factor makes it pointless.
I do get more surveys if I refresh the dashboard often, manually of course.

 

With as grinchy as Prolific seems to be about randomly banning users, I'm a bit nervous about continuing to use a page refresher too often

 

First month making over $100 on connect ...very part time

 

How do you get surveys without an auto refresh? You just wait until it says the number 1 in the top of the tab in the browser?

 

Thanks for the tip! I missed the first one I saw today but nabbed a second.

Sometimes. Depends on what I'm doing at the moment

I use 2 monitors and if not actively working, I usually leave Prolific open/active on one

 

you guys ever see something come up on prolific where you're like 'i don't really want to do this but I should and there's only 30 slots left so if I click and I'm in I'll do it but if I don't get it thank god" or is uh.. that just me

 

Genius! I'm only using a laptop though.

 

You guys probably can't see the pay rate, but it's .05! The guy wants 20 minutes of your time for 5 cents!!!

 

I have definitely done this. I've done it on Mturk, too and surprised myself by actually getting a HIT the scraper/catcher didn't. Like catching lightning in a bottle on mturk though.
