Also curious for Prolific users - how many of the About You questions do you have answered?
I'm curious about whether these questions would result in more studies - because they screen in qualifications, or less studies - because they're primarily used to screen out participants.

Prolific goes in spurts. I can be very busy for me for an hour and then very lean for the next hour and the cycle keeps going. I ma on the east coast and I find I have lots on Prolific from 6 am to 10 am then it slows down for mid day and starts up again after 4 pm for a few hours.

I keep all the qual questions updated. My feeling is that requestors ask for certain things and if you dont have them filled in you will not get picked. I think this would far outweigh any you dont get because of your profile.

Once I was screened out mid survey when it said my answer did not match something in my profile and they asked me to return it!

I always have MTurk, Prolific, Connect and Paidviewpoint open. There is usually one to do on one of them at any point of time. My limitation is my energy and attention span.

 

Me? Nah or the HIT also a nah.

 

I've had a few today - not crazy busy though. I think the About You's both screen you in and screen you out. I've heard more about how once people answer those, they get more studies. I've filled out mine 100% and check occasionally to make sure they stay up to date.
