Everyone's situation is diff, gotta decide for yourself really

If you work a normal job, personally I'd keep it just so I don't have to manually mess with pandas while working.

Working across the platforms is 100% of my income most of the time, so I need whatever advantages I can get.

 

My hope is that some day CR will just revoke their Mturk qual and it will force requesters to move to connect. The platform along with prolific is superior for surveys in every way possible.

 

Does anyone know if TurkGuru is on autopay?

Actually I get prolific surveys all day long on good days. No queue is an amazing thing at least in my eyes.

 

I think I prefer no queue

I think you're right. And it applies to so many more HITs than the CR1 did. So many requestors I used to qualify for added that damn rhsnlk98. Definitely damaging.

 

especially with stuff like remesh. I like the bot prevention of it.

Connect needs an auto-refresh like Prolific. I'd also like some sort of sound when there is a new survey.

 

There is it works the same. My windows notifications let me know.

 

Yes, but it doesn't refresh the page. It just puts up a (1) next to the name of the tab. By the time I notice the (1), since it's so small, the study it's trying to alert me to is already gone. With Prolific, since it auto refreshes, if I have the page open, I can see something pop up in my peripheral.

The sound would be nice in general since I have multiple browser windows each with its own collection of tabs, so a visual notification isn't enough all the time. It's why I have the Prolific Assistant browser extension installed.

 

Ah I see what your saying. Never click the windows notification for sure. Immediately go over to your browser and click the new projects. It's not optimal but faster.

 

If I didn't have to dedicate my 2nd monitor to QBC, I'd be putting a split screen browser with Prolific/Connect on my 2nd monitor to stay active
