I'm still at the beginning. I went through the prologue where the emperor was killed, had the weird sequence where I didn't have my paramachina, and now I just escaped a city. It's very, very dated. Having a bit of a hard time staying focused but maybe it'll pick up. Voice acting is atrocious too. Liking the battle system and the basic idea of the game, though!

I use Forker/PC as well.... was always under the impression that PC had to run on a separate window altogether. I will say that Forker doesn't work as well as it used to. I still prefer it - but MTurk seems to be really blocking any attempts by scripts. So I had to slow down PC (from the install timers) and Forker as well.

 

Thanks for the idea. I have seen those randomly in the past for office locations, but never made a point to look for them. I also never considered stores that are closing actually selling their equipment like this

 

I don't think Pandacrazy Max has to have a separate window. I may be wrong though.

 

What's the optimal timer these days?

I was getting a ton of the Website Unavailable messages but when I changed PC timers to 1600/2000/2800 it dramatically reduced it. Of course I can't say I catch all that much...but at least I haven't been getting the messages. Forker I keep at 2 - but if messages creep in, I bump it up to 3.

 

Is there a difference between JR panda crazy and panda crazy max?

I looked it up again and it definitely says to have the script running on its own window. And then it says "browsers will limit scripts to 1 second timers but the script needs timers to run under 1 second."

 

I'm not sure. I didn't have an option - Panda Crazy Max is what I had to do. Maybe because it was available in the Google store.

 

There is still a lot of cross-posting by the reqs between MTurk/Prolific/Connect and money to be made on MTurk. Some people still seem to be doing decent. Largely dependent on quals, as always

But I think MTurk has gained a bad reputation. Survey reqs are looking to other platforms, newer batchwork is also starting to transition away from MTurk it seems.

My thoughts are that the way the MTurk system was designed with the ability to scrape/queue leading to lots of low quality work, and it probably needs to be reworked

 

Of course, now that I am reading that PCM needs a timer to be under 1 second - and I had to bump it up to 1.8 to stop getting the messages, I'm not sure if it's still the best option. I have caught some things...but not as much as others seem to catch.

 

Have they given out any master's in the last 3 years? I'm up to almost 30,000 HITs with 99%, 4 years turking.

 

Hasn't it been like 8 years since the last Masters was given out?

The panda crazy script (JR panda crazy)is no longer in active development. Any new features in PCM will not be included in the script, and it may eventually break, if it hasn't already. Also, PCM includes the Search window, which is pretty handy.

 

I'm at 137k here w/ 99%... no masters.

Haven't heard of anyone receiving it since I started turking. I'm assuming that Amazon just doesn't dedicate any workers to MTurk, including doing things like assigning Masters
